Weight of the World is a song that plays with the idea of depression being like carrying the weight of the world. After talking with Shane he wanted to tackle the matter in a humorous fashion & he wanted to use You Am I front man Tim Rogers to play
our protagonist. I had the idea of opening the video by swinging into the house through a keyhole, I built a large keyhole out of timber & after a few goes we got the shot. The video was shot in Sydney in an old terrace house I used to live in.
To create the “Weight Of The World” & symbolise the darkness Tim was carrying around through day to day life we spent a week making a huge paper mache stone.
