Sara has an incredible talent for personifying our amazing Australian landscapes in her songs.

When creating this concept, I wanted to try and support her creative lyrics as much as possible. We spent about a week in pre-production creating the outfits for each actor. We filmed Sara’s vocal in a lounge room, cut it out in post, and placed her inside a dirty, city landscape to help establish her miserable mood.

This really helped support the spirit of the song. Scene by scene, Sara’s childhood home called her back from the cold and miserable world she now resided in.

There is so much in this song we can all relate to.
